Somatic Art Psychotherapy

An Invitation

I am glad you are here and considering exploring your world more deeply.

Therapy with me is a space to slow down, reconnect, and make sense of both your inner world and the life you’re living. I support adults who have been shaped by challenging or traumatic experiences, feel caught in anxiety or unhelpful patterns, or are seeking more meaning and ease in their relationships—and in themselves. Together, we create space to expand into the depth and texture of the human experience and into your own potential.

My work is grounded in the understanding that our inner lives are shaped not only by personal history, but also by culture, identity, power, the environment, and the systems we move within. Drawing from over a decade of experience in Somatic Art Therapy, EMDR, and body-based approaches such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, I support healing and resilience by working with the intelligence of your nervous system and your creativity—inviting greater aliveness in the life you’re living.

Please reach out with any questions or if you would like to schedule a consultation to learn more about what working together may look like for you.

  • Ongoing Individual Counseling

  • Experiential sessions for therapists engaged in (or have completed) Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Levels 1-3. These qualify for training requirements and can also be provided to those interested in experiencing the modality themselves before committing to training.

  • I specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ clients and also identify as a Queer therapist myself. In addition to my private practice, I founded True Essence Therapy, which is a medicaid & private pay group practice with several skilled licensed LGBTQ+ affirming therapists who provide quality holistic therapy services. Many Queer clients struggle to find affirming services, so I find it important to provide specialized services for LGBTQ+ folks.

  • For therapists interested in deepening Somatic Therapy and/or Art Therapy Skills, self of therapist, administrative effectiveness, starting private practice, or seeking support with LGBTQ+ clients.

  • For individual therapists working towards their ATR (Art Therapy Registration). Group supervision occasionally offered.

  • For individuals working towards licensure and who are working with adult clients. Priority for those working with trauma, art therapy, somatic therapy, and LGBTQ+ populations. Aiya is an approved clinical supervisor (ACS).
